The Piedmont AHEC serves healthcare professionals and students in Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Guilford, Montgomery, Orange, Randolph, and Rockingham counties, enhancing learning experiences by providing educational and informational resources to the region.
- They provide convenient virtual and online continuing education programs for credit to healthcare professionals in a variety of fields.
- Cone Health medical residency programs attract excellent residents from across the country and internationally.
- Their pharmacy education faculty supports clinical care, provides teaching for UNC pharmacy students, Moses Cone Hospital pharmacy and medical residents, and leads continuing education programs.
- Medical student rotations include over 200 sites and 350 community preceptors to coordinate community practice experiences.
